Anthoula Bourna - Malerin, Kostüm- und Bühnenbildnerin - wurde 1983 in Athen geboren. 2019 bekam sie ihren MA in Bühnenraum, an der HFBK Hamburg, bei Prof. Raimund Bauer. Sie ist Diplomantin der Hochschule für Bildende Künste Thessaloniki (Griechenland) unter Prof. Giorgos Golfinos (Malerei), Nikos Politis (Bühnenbild) und Manolis Giannadakis (Drucktechniken). An der Universität Ioannina (Griechenland) studierte sie Psychologie (BA) und arbeitete 2004 bis 2015 parallel als Therapeutin für Kinder mit Lernschwierigkeiten und ehrenamtlich als Sprachlehrerin für geflüchtete Menschen.
Seit 2013 wirkte sie in zahlreichen Theaterproduktionen in Deutschland und Griechenland als Bühnen- und Kostümbildnerin mit. Ferner hat sie die Ausstattung für verschiedene Filmproduktionen gemacht und als freie Künstlerin an unterschiedlichen Ausstellungen teilgenommen. Ihre Masters Thesis ist ‘’The Labyrinth as a spatial structure in the immersive theatre’’ betitelte, und ihre künstlerischer Fokus liegt auf der Funktion des Raums als ‘Apparatus’ in Zeiten sozialer Unruen, sowie auf dem performativen Aspekt der Übergangsriten.

Anthoula Bourna, is a visual artist that works in the fields of painting, drawing, stage- and costume design. She is born in Academia Platonos of Athens in 1983. She got her Diploma from the School of Fine Arts of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, studying painting next to Giorgos Golfinos, stage design next to Nikos Politis and printing techniques next to Manolis Giannadakis. In 2019 she got Her MA in Spatial Design from the HfBK in Hamburg, with Prof. Raimund Bauer. She also owns a Bachelor in Psychology from the University of Ioannina. Since 2013 she participated in numerous theatre and film productions both in Germany and Greece. In the years 2014-2015 she also worked as a stage-and costume design assistant in the National Theatre of Northern Greece. In parallel, she is still active as an independent visual artist, participating in group exhibitions with her paintings, installations and performances. Her artistic focus lies on the function of the space as an apparatus as well as on the performative aspect of the rites of passage.
